I felt like drawing something with a lot of characters, and this came out as a result.. I know the proportions are hideously awry, but I did this for fun/reference xD Going left to right they're ordered in the order that they appear in the storyline. I'm also going to put some profile/relationship info about my chartacters on here.
Shukara (Shuka) - F, 13 - Adept Rogue (Twin Blade, Harvest Cleric) Form 1 - Level 1 at first encounter - Theatre (officer) - Shoura, the Harbinger of Light Shuka has, in general, a rather friendly personality. She's not exactly welcoming, but is always willing to party with strangers in a PuG (pick-up group) and go exploring. She has few truly close friends, due to the fact that Shuka is always zoning out and not paying attention. She began playing The World because her irl friends said the graphics were good... and Shuka likes eye candy. She is actually quite proud, but tries not to let that get in the way of her dealings with others. Alula - Once when Shuka was soloing in a Field, she came across Alula being confronted by two much higher leveled PKers. Despite her own low level she rushed to help Alula. They were both PKed, of course, but it marked the beginning of a long friendship. Eventually when Alula founded the Theatre guild, Shuka joined and was promoted to an officer in the guild. Alula's friendship is perhaps one of Shuka's primary driving forces for remaining in The World. Maetia - Shuka was first introduced to Mae through Alula. (the latter of whom was trying to get Mae to join Theatre.) Shuka (not knowing that Mae was older than her) thought the temperamental Brandier to be extremely childish, and the two moved about each other with minimal tolerance, Alula being the only thing preventing them from fighting. Eventually however, when Alula became comatose, the two were forced to cooperate in order to bring Alula back. Kaitori - Shuka and Tori don't collide much during //flight. The few times they do, they simply exchange a few polite words and move on, busy with their own things. Shuka, like many players, finds it strange that Tori is able to communicate with Lucky Animals. Inurias - Shuka didn't meet Nuri until several months after Alula fell into her coma. They met through the mysterious, somewhat amateur hacker Lazu, and his messing around with their PCs. The two apparently found kindred spirits in one another, with their mostly quiet dispositions, and worked together to help Mae grow up and save Alula. Gielinor - The first time Shuka meets Giel, it's in a battle - versus each other. Shuka finds it difficult to resist the Mae's deadly conviction that this strange-looking PC is the cause of Alula's coma, and as a result of repeatedly confronting Giel, the smaller girl began to avoid Shuka. They never did make amends, although perhaps Alula eventually did by proxy. Lazu - Shuka approached the small-time hacker Lazu on the basis of rumors that hackers were related to the comas. Lazu had a reputation of doing small, mostly harmless favors for people in exchange for information or gold, and thus Shuka thought he would be the perfect place to start. Asked about comas, Lazu began pondering. He knew minimally, and only in speculation, the relationship between AIDA, comas, and the Epitaph. And then he decided, Shuka would be the first of three PCs that he would attempt to perform his most daring data rewrite yet. He codenamed it Project Wing. Alula - F, 16 - Macabre Dancer - Level 4 at first encounter - Theatre (guildmaster) (Character used in fanfic with permission from *Spoonzmeister.) Alula is portrayed as a kind, mature, and patronizing friend. She is regarded as a mentor by many of the //flight characters, which is why the effect is so devestating when she went into a coma. She is always happy to help newbies, and plays The World with impeccable morals. As thus her guild, Theatre, is coming to be regarded as "the second Canard." Shukara - Alula never forgot the day when Shuka didn't mind her own business and sided with Alula against the PKers. Not normally one to burden others with her own troubles, Shuka was one of the few people that Alula ever confided in. Maetia - Alula only knew Mae for a brief time before she went comatose, but in during that period much of her time was devoted to helping Mae overcome her inner demons and become a better person. Ultimately her attempts didn't come to success, and it was Shuka and Nuri who finally broke through. Kaitori - Alula and Tori never meet during //flight.... Inurias - Although Nuri joined up with Shuka and Mae to help save Alula, the two never actually exchanged words until the epilogue of //flight. At that point Alula found Nuri to be a responsible character who had seen more than her share of troubles on The World. Alula presumably issued Nuri a guest key to Theatre, but Nuri never actually joined. Gielinor - Alula and the flighty Giel meet briefly right after Alula comes out of her coma, and she apologizes to Giel for Mae's persecution of her. Maetia (Mae) - F, 15 - Blade Brandier - Level 11 at first encounter - guildless - Detaea, the Changeling Mae's personality is extremely consistent throughout //flight til the end - quick to anger, immature, and fiercely loyal to anyone who is able to tolerate her constant temper. Starting The World because of peer pressure in school, she aimed to level up quickly to impress her 'friends' but instead found herself being repeatedly PKed, eventually leaving her penniless and weapon-less. Shukara - It is in this state that Shuka first meets Mae. Mae took an instant disliking to the aloof Shuka, and didn't waste any time expressing it. It was only with Alula's unexpected reminder that Mae had been narrowly saved from another death that she stopped from punching Shuka's PC. (No weapons, remember. XD) As the storyline went on, Mae grudgingly admitted to herself that Shuka was no worse than herself, especially after Lazu's intervention and the 'modifications' of their PCs. The end of //flight finds Shuka and Mae, surprisingly, working very well together, much to Alula's delight. Alula - Although Mae never showed it, Alula had earned her respect and Mae was ready to go through fire and ice to save her. During //flight, much of the time when Mae was ready to leave Shuka and Nuri in the middle of a dungeon with AIDA signals, (coughspoilercrapcough) it was the thought that they might fail without her and Alula would never come back that kept her there. Kaitori - Very, VERY suprisingly, Mae harbors a small secret fondness for Tori. Despite their radically different outlooks on The World, there is something about Tori's fragile-ness that touched Mae's heart. Sitting next to a Sleipnir in some obsolete Field, Mae found the only place where she was able to drop her self-defensive, prickly exterior and speak her mind. Tori always listened patiently, and, the stories he would tell made Mae's troubles seem trivial in comparison. It made her feel stronger, needed by someone. Inurias - Long before their formal meeting through Lazu, Nuri (back then in her First Form) had a run-in with Mae. Nuri found Mae amusing, and played around a bit before PKing her. Much much later, when they truly met and exchanged member addresses, Mae had no memory of the incident, but Nuri did. As a result, Mae was perplexed by the way Nuri seemed to never talk to her directly, or try to get to know her better like everyone else tried to do. Nuri told Mae the reason why after Alula had returned and was presiding over them as a mediator. Gielinor - When Alula went into a coma, Mae's first thought was not how or why it happened, but who was to blame. She immediately turned to the first not-normal thing she saw, which happened to be hapless Giel. Already suffering from accusations from other players about her being a hacker due to her strange PC, Giel was unable to bear the focused rage coming from Mae and fled after liberally dousing Mae and Shuka in a swirl of dark blue flame. (PKing in self defense, using a nonexistent skill, in a nutshell.) Mae did not cease her pursuit of Giel until the opening of her 'eyes' thanks to Lazu. It was then that she promptly forgot about Giel, and focused on AIDA. Lazu - After a frustrated Shuka was unable to get any further information out of Lazu, Shuka told Mae to go ask the hacker/information broker for anything extra in case he had been withholding something from Shuka. Mae learned nothing that Shuka didn't - and became the second member of Project Wing. Kaitori (Tori) - M, 18? - Shadow Warlock - Level 20 at first encounter - guildless Tori is a shy, easily hurt character who is drawn into the story of //flight by a twist of fate. He is often shocked into silence by the careless words of others, and like Mae, is the target of many PKers. He fights back - ineffectively. He has no friends at the beginning of //flight, instead spending his time sitting alone in corners of Fields, seemingly conversing with Lucky Animals. He is the envy of several players who are unable to successfully sneak up (and kick) Lucky Animals. He believes firmly that the Animals are sentient, and have an AI at least equal to that of a human player. Shukara - Tori runs into Shuka a few times, usually seeing her accompanied by Mae and or Nuri. He never questions where they are bound, for he has his own thoughts to contemplate. Alula - Tori is able to get a grasp on the situation through talking with Mae, but he is unable to help. He resorts to comforting Mae when she can't think of a solution. Maetia - Mae is perhaps the only PC that Tori cares about. Joining him in silence for sometimes hours on end and showing an unexpected understanding for his views, she was the first person he ever opened up to and told of his real life. Mae was also Tori's link to the real The World world, informing him of things on the BBS as well as her quest to save Alula. Inurias - Nuri once attempted to speak to Tori because Mae kept mentioning him, but all she got was a bewildered stare, some random stammering, and then Tori warped out of the Field. She didn't try again after that. Gielinor - Giel was one of the few things that Mae and Tori disagreed on. Hearing of how Mae relentlessly pursued Giel, Tori couldn't help but feel that Giel was in the same situation as he - except, whereas Tori's response was to hide and ignore, Giel confronted and ran. He managed to get in contact with Giel a few times without Mae knowing but it never really got anywhere. Inurias (Nuri) - F, 16 - Adept Rogue (Blade Brandier, Twin Blade, Flick Reaper) Form 3 - Level 83 at first (real) encounter - guildless - Inaiyu, the Fallen Angel Nuri's personality, without a doubt, has changed the most since when the first joined The World, and at the end of //flight. In her younger days she was an extremely social, lighthearted player who never lingered on her losses for long. She PKed and was PKKed, and had a grand time. She never PKed the same person more than once. After her first Job Extend, Nuri quit her wild PKing sprees in favor of strengthening her relationship with her friends and protecting them from PKers in turn. Things in her real life were taking a turn for the worse, but she tried her best to remain as sunny and happy as before. Gradually, she became less humorous and .. 'grayer,' if you will. Her second Job Extend marked her second to last personality transformation, in which she became almost as few of words as Kaitori, and as beckoning as Shukara. She became a guardian type personality and set about righting wrongs, including Alula's coma and PKers. Shukara - One of Nuri's friends. Nuri did not tell Shuka of her PKing past until almost the end, and until then the two mildly quiet girls went about in an amiable silence. When they banded together to fight, however, they worked together to take down one opponent - sometimes both pulling out dual swords to overwhelm the foe, sometimes Nuri attacking and Shuka healing. Both girls' PCs, also, were subjects of Lazu's tampering. They were able to speak to each other of the bizzare creatures that seemingly nobody could see but them. Alula - Alula had once prevented Nuri from PKing a newbie. Back then Nuri had silently cursed Alula, but after her own change of heart, she wished to meet Alula. It was thus that she went to Lazu, seeking information on the whereabouts of Alula. At the end of //flight, Nuri and Alula met in real life. Maetia - Nuri first ran into Mae when she was level 12 and Mae was level 3. She taunted Mae and then PKed her, not thinking much of it. Later, thanks to Lazu, they met up again. Nuri was shocked at how little Mae had changed since their last meeting, and also felt guilty that she was now working alongside someone she had once looked down upon and scorned. And that Mae was apparently oblivious of it. On the exterior, however, Nuri tried to make progress, helping Shuka to help Mae. Kaitori - Always particularly observant of Mae's comments, Nuri noticed how Mae was always saying "Tori said," "Tori thinks," and the like. She wormed Tori's in-game name, as well as the keywords for the Fields he frequented, out from Mae, and set off to find this Tori. She met up with disappointment, and an utter waste of three days zoning in and out of various Fields. Whereas Tori found Mae to be small and not a threat, Nuri was not only over 40 levels higher than him, but addressed him as another player, lacking the sensitivity that allowed Tori to open up to Mae. Gielinor - Unlike Shuka, Nuri was not easily convinced to believing that Giel was the culprit. Never having expressed hostility to Giel, Nuri was likewise never treated to one of Giel's strange spells. Nuri petitioned against Mae's repeated attacks on Giel until the very end, on which Nuri said "I told you so." She never got a chance to talk to Giel after that, but on the rare occasion that someone higher leveled than Nuri was attacking her, she would occassionally see a flash of dark blue, and then her adversary dropping dead. Lazu - Lazu literally jumped with joy when Nuri came to ask him about Alula. Having recently conversed with Shuka and Mae, he offered to hook them all up in exchange for Nuri's agreement to be the third subject of Project Wing. Nuri agreed, and she never regretted it. Gielinor (Giel/Jan) - later changed to Kirinthar - F, 15 - Adept Rogue (Twin Blade, ??) Form ?? - Level 36 at first encounter - guildless - Gielinor, the Invisible Shadow Giel is my way of placing my mark on //flight. For those of you who've talked to me or played on MMOs with me, just carry over my personality and stick it in here. And add that Giel, during the beginning of //flight, is feeling pissed that everyone thinks she hax. A Vagrant AI changed her PC just as she hit the create button, resulting in a strange PC with strange abilities. She didn't know that, of course, until the accusations started coming. It is my speculation that the AI that did this decided to have some fun, and attempted to emulate some of Azure Flame Kite's skills on Giel's PC. As a result, many of her attacks include dark blue flames. Shukara - Giel regarded Shuka with a mixture of annoyance and pity - annoyed that Shuka kept chasing her along with Mae and half the players in Delta server, and pitying Shuka for being swayed by Mae's influence. She eventually resorted to avoiding Shuka. Alula - Giel didn't know much about Alula, aside from the fact that Mae thought she had harmed Alula. When she finally did meet Alula, their discourse was brief and somewhat tense. Maetia - The feelings between Mae and Giel could be described as utter, open dislike. Giel, unable to get her point across that she didn't even know who Alula was, ended up blowing piles of bizzare attacks at Mae, PKing her a minimal of 30 times during //flight. Kaitori - Tori briefly tried to befriend Giel, feeling that they were both outcasts of society, but Giel found Tori to be overly timid and somewhat pathetic, and declined to any further attempts at a relationship. Inurias - Having learned to group Shuka/Mae/Nuri together as a trio, Giel was deeply grateful for Nuri's attempts to divert Mae's anger. Although she didn't ever say thank you to Nuri, after //flight Giel made it her personal obligation to help Nuri in tight situations. |

Eluminate my World~
In a way he's more like Yata or Sakaki. I think the one that's most like 'shino' in the aspect that they all want to save, would be Disa. (Why not? she's a girl, and she's young + defenseless.)
Nice work anyways.
Iwanttoreeeeeeeeeeeeadiiiiiit.

Eluminate my World~
But I mean Disa, because she's starts out as a timid girl (with hidden ulterior motives) like Shino, and slowly evolves, and then suddenly has a change of heart.
*costume changes in an instant* What the--? *looking at costume*
